It was wall-to-wall people. Everywhere. We walked around for a while without accomplishing much of anything. Finally ended up back where we began for dinner at Wolfgang Puk's. Cari got some mini crab cakes (we didn't know they were mini when she ordered them but trust me, they were about the size of a silver dollar - didn't know they made crab cakes that small). Mom, Bob and I got a spinach salad that was wonderful! We were being good so we could get an ice cream later - so we thought. Our server informed us we could take a water taxi to the other end of the shopping area to go to the world's largest Disney store and we hopped right on that since we had already walked it once. But that meant we wouldn't go by the ice cream place. Oh well there's always tomorrow - and the rest of the week.
We hit a few shops on the way. Cari and I bought a couple of frames and I found some Mickey scissors for scrapbooking! I was overwhelmed when I first stepped into the Disney store. Between the size of that place and the amount of people, it was just too much, and we were tired (it was already after 9pm) and our feet hurt, and it's just the beginning of the trip. LOL - I'd love to go back there during a less busy time. Cari found some playing cards and bought this beautiful scarf - I hope I can find one for me at one of the other parks - I should've bought one too. We were pretty much done by then and started back to the car. So it's 12:30am and our first day in Orlando is over. We'll be back up early in the morning getting ready to head to SeaWorld. Here's a couple of random shots from the evening:
